  13. Assess venue lighting and power needs — Request layout, plug access, natural light windows, and stage lighting info.
  14. Pack lighting gear and triggers — Include flashes, modifiers, stands, triggers, extra bulbs, and spare batteries.
  15. Prepare backup drive and test transfer — Format drive, test a sample transfer, and bring power/cables and a backup plan.
  16. Backup files during event to external drive — Copy cards to drive between sets; verify file counts and checksums if possible.
