  1. Walk all work areas to spot slips, trips, and fall hazards — Check for spills, uneven floors, loose mats, extension cords.
  2. Test and measure lighting in workspaces and exit routes — Confirm adequate illumination; replace dim or flickering bulbs.
  3. Clear and test emergency exit routes and doors — Remove obstructions, check panic hardware and visible signage.
  4. Verify fire extinguishers are serviced, tagged, and correctly located — Check service date, pressure gauge, and suitable extinguisher type.
  5. Test emergency lighting and illuminated exit signs — Confirm lights activate on power failure or battery test.
  6. Check first-aid kits and AED availability and readiness — Verify supplies, expiry dates, accessible location, and training.

  10. Check ventilation, dust control, and general indoor air quality — Verify exhaust fans, filters, and fresh air intake are working.
  11. Talk with staff to identify psychosocial risks and stressors — Ask about workload, bullying, support, and shift-related stress.
  12. Review recent near-miss and incident reports for trends — Look for recurring issues, missing reports, or delayed follow-ups.
  13. Update the corrective action log and assign owners and deadlines — Record actions, responsible person, deadlines, and current status.
  14. Test alarm systems and emergency communication procedures — Run an authorized drill or system test and note response gaps.
