  12. Check seals and weatherstripping around doors and windows — Replace torn or compressed weatherstripping to prevent drafts.
  13. Test GFCI outlets — Press TEST then RESET to confirm they trip and reset properly.
  14. Clean refrigerator coils — Vacuum coils to improve efficiency and reduce wear.
  15. Clean or replace appliance filters — Check dryer, range hood, and other appliance filters monthly.
  16. Clean dryer vent and lint trap — Remove lint from trap and vacuum vent; prevent fire risk.
  17. Clean range hood filter — Soak or replace filter to maintain ventilation.
  18. Test sump pump if installed — Pour water into pit to confirm pump engages and drains.
  19. Run water in seldom-used sinks and drains — Prevent trap drying and sewer gas by running water through.
  20. Document maintenance performed and schedule next check — Note dates, parts replaced, and any follow-up needed.
